John W. Stout began his career in the software profession in the late 1970s. As a student at the University of Michigan, John wrote his first large scale programs and became the author and developer of the popular multi-personaler game "Plague" using the PLATO system.

After 15 years in the profession, during which John entrepreneured on projects ranging from desktop publishing, payroll, space research and intelligent systems, he formed his own consulting business.
